Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including names, contact details, property information, photographs, documents, service requirements, provider credentials and messages. Our hosting, security and analytics services may also collect technical information such as IP address, device, browser and pages used.
How we use it
We use information to operate listings, deliver purchased packages, send buyer enquiries to sellers, respond to requests, introduce independent providers with consent, prevent misuse, maintain records, improve SoldByMe and meet legal obligations.
Who receives it
A buyer’s enquiry details are sent directly to the seller of the selected property and copied to SoldByMe for service and safety records. A service request may be shared with a suitable independent provider when the requester consents. Operational suppliers such as website hosting, email and payment processors handle information under their own security and privacy obligations.
Payments and property documents
Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by SoldByMe. Sellers must remove unnecessary personal or sensitive information from documents before asking for publication. Some professional reports limit who may rely on them; publication does not extend those rights.
Storage and security
We use reasonable safeguards and retain information only as long as reasonably required for the service, disputes, safety, accounting and legal obligations. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask to access or correct personal information held about you. Contact the SoldByMe privacy contact at enquiries@soldbyme.co.nz. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
